This is a diverse ranch ranging from Sonoran desert to upper desert grassland with PJ to even some ponderosa pine. The 525-head Tonto National Forest grazing permit which has its NEPA completed allows for a sizable ranch unit on 97,885 acres. Also included in the grazing allotment are 56,724 acres of non-use (will not be grazed) lands. But this brings the total size of the ranch to 241.5 sections that would be able to be utilized in PRF insurance program.
